Guide

Ok, so for some reason you decided to play Gigi, why? Wouldn't I like to know what compelled you to play her. anywho, let's not dwell on the reason. Let's get right into this guide (I am bad at making introductions).Gadget: do not under ANY circumstance use Dissapearing Act. It is genuinely useless, I can't think of a SINGLE scenario where it would be better than Longer Strings, therefore. basically always utilize Longer Strings. Attempt to activate your gadget whenever the enemy team is shooting at your faraway allies, or when they are shooting at you, so that there is more of a breather space between you and the projectiles.Star Power: For Star Power, both are viable. A Helping Hand allows you to go in for an attack with below full Health and regenerate that lost amount of health, making it safer to use your super. While this can be useful, in my opinion, Plie Protection is the better one, especially against low projectile brawlers (Piper, Mandy, Najia, etc) who deal way too much damage with a projectile for the amount of charge it gives. This makes the wait until you achieve your super less painful; it also makes it so that high projectile brawlers charge it ridiculously fast. the 2 second recharge may sound bad, but realistically, whenever you get hit. You will probably retreat to heal or reposition anyway. Gear: Standard Damage and Shield gear should be used; there are some scenarios where health or Speed could be used. however Damage Shield is the most consistent.Super + Hyper: Yes, there are some tips for her super as well. First, attempt to use your super while having used part of your ammo bar. Gigi's attack becomes faster the more it's used. so unless the enemy has a lot of health, most will go down after a few attacks and the super's end damage. This avoids the frustrating scenarios where you get killed before you can kill them. Second, the attack Gigi does while teleporting back fills quite a big amount of her super charge, so always attempt to use that attack while finishing off a foe to gain your next super faster. With your hypercharge + Leaving damage, you do 5460 damage or 6240 when damage gear is active, meaning that with only a few main attacks, you can pretty much instant-kill most brawlers before they can react. You can activate super before hyper and still get the hyper damage as long as you activate it before you teleport. Use this to surprise your foes and to utilize the most time of your Hypercharge Buffs.Matchups: Gigi does well against high projectile brawlers (Lola, Colt, Gene, 8-Bit, Spike, Rico, Amber, Meg, etc.) who charge her Super quickly (near instantly for Amber and Meg) and don't have the resources to fight Gigi once she's up close. She also does well against most brawlers who require to be up close, as she does do 12k total damage if she hits all her attacks. Gigi, however, struggles with brawlers who have low projectile count, as it makes it harder for her to gain her Super, Throwers, since aside from Sprout and Grom (because of course Grom needs another bad matchup), they don't charge her super. and Brawlers like Bull, who can atomize her, or Otis and Cordelius, once they have their silence gadget and super specifically.Modes:
Gigi is good at:
Knockout: Most of the time, she can get a kill and retreat before she dies herself. She can also effectively trade against a dangerous threat.
Just make sure to use her in a map where she is good,
Brawl Ball: Gigi's mobility allows her to move around the map easily; her super allows her to throw the ball, teleport to it, and still have a super shot ready.
Gem Grab: Once again, Gigi's mobility allows her to collect the gems; her super also allows her to attack the gem grabber, take the gems, and retreat. It can also be used defensively to reposition yourself to a better area.Others: Gigi's main attack increases her movement speed. So it can also be utilized as a mobility tool. Don't be afraid to use her hyper; she charges it the equivalent of 2-3 supers. if you see that your enemies are avoiding shooting at you, try sticking with a teammate. That is basically all I have to say. Once you understand her gameplay, she can be really fun to play.
